There are few things in life more exciting than driving a finely crafted luxury automobile. Unfortunately most luxury cars are priced out of reach for the average American. Luckily Infiniti is making luxury autos more accessible to the average consumer with the G25 model. This model offers the same deluxe features as the other subjects in the Infiniti lineup but with a less amount of horsepower.

Most of us don’t require a high performance car, we simply need a comfortable luxury car to take us to and from work and perhaps grocery shopping afterwards. For these purposes, the G25 fits the bill perfectly. The engine is a 6 cylinder 2.5 Liter with 218 hp and 187 lb feet of torque. It comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission. If you absolutely require a manual transmission then you will need to shell out additional dough for the G37.

Enjoy the taste of the finer things in life with sweet touches such as exquisite aluminum trim inside the cabin, a power adjustable driver seat with back support, the ability to start the engine without a key, seventeen inch wheels constructed out of alloy, comfortable seats crafted out of opulent leather and an automatic climate control system. In terms of speed, the G25 travels from 0-60 in only 7.2 seconds which isn’t too shabby at all. If you select the Journey trim at an additional cost and you receive a rearview camera, compatibility with USB devices, a climate control system, heated seats and heated mirrors.

Infiniti engineers have included all of the latest safety features in order to maximize passenger protection. State of the art systems include an advanced air bag system, active head restraints and a four-wheel anti-lock brake system. The seatbelts feature pretensioners which tighten up for extra protection during an impending impact. A reinforced passenger compartment and front and rear crumple zones should provide added piece of mind. A tire pressure monitoring system is also in place which lets you know when your tire pressure needs to be corrected a safe and optimal driving experience.

From reading different sources online, it appears that Infiniti designed the G25 after thorough consumer research in order to meet the demands of female drivers who were apparently scared off by the G37’s explosive horsepower. As a woman I can’t say that I believe that for one second since I personally love expensive fast cars with tons of power. I don’t think that the G25 is a “woman’s car” at all, I feel that it is simply an entry level luxury car which would great for anyone who wants an upscale vehicle without paying a huge sum of money. It would be perfect for someone who just graduated college as an everyday commuter. Pricing starts at around the $32k range and may vary depending on the trim and options selected.

If you are in the Louisiana area and looking for great deals on Infiniti cars such as the G25 or G37, head on over to your local Infiniti Prairieville dealer. For affordable luxury cars, check out Used Cars Houston for low prices.

The Essence exterior is beyond sleek. Its fluid, seamless structure gives the appearance of molten liquid being hurled through space. The exquisite design is a culmination of 20 years of Infiniti craftsmanship and is a pre-curser to future production models. The Essence gives us our first peak at Infiniti’s newest Safety Shield technology, designed with the intent to create the first collision-free car.

The Essence interior embodies Infiniti’s emphatic sense of style and attention to detail. The plush leather seats and molded cabin structure cocoon both driver and passenger in comfort and luxury. However, the icing on the cake is the inclusion of a three-piece Louis Vuitton luggage set, fitted perfectly in the vehicle trunk.

BMW has had the luxury convertible car market cornered for a decade. Recently Lexus and Volvo tried their hand at one of these vehicles, but it wasn’t until Infiniti showed their convertible that the car buying crowd sat up and took notice. This has been one of the most anticipated releases in recent memory and it was quite a task for Nissan engineers to create a convertible from a regular coupe.

Infiniti’s G37 has been around for years, so why now should the brand make a convertible –Why not? The G37 Convertible is only the second drop top in Infiniti’s history although, it might as well be the first since few remember the Infiniti M30.

The new 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible body design is similar to Infiniti’s G37 coupe though it still has many body panels that are completely unique to the redesign. With the top up, the Infiniti G37 Convertible displays a softer and sleeker silhouette than the coupe but will not be mistaken by Infiniti fans. Styling details also include chrome accented strips on the rear deck, a modified grill, revised air intakes, and new skirts to further differentiate the convertible from the coupe. Infiniti says the design for the back is all new and includes structural reinforcements in the rear suspension and chassis. In comparison to its predecessor, it also has a wider rear track and extra inch of width overall.

Over the past year or two there have been many new features available as standard options or add-ons for many cars. Some of these features are revolutionary and exciting, some have been around in one form or another for years, and then there are those that died a quick death. Below is a list of 10 from Automobile News and some thoughts on each.

1. Ignition/Push Start Buttons – The first car to my knowledge to come standard with this feature was the Honda S2000. Although you still need to put a key into the ignition, the push button start was a great idea that caught on with manufacturers everywhere. BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus wasted no time in adding this to their line-up. But now this feature is even better; you don’t even need to put the key into any ignition, just have the key in your pocket and the car will start right up with the push of a button!
2. Navigation Systems – With the popularity of Magellan, Tom Tom, and other road map systems, it was only a matter of time before the in-dash navigation system would make its way onto current cars. I look forward to the day when I can afford a new car with the in-dash nav/DVD system.
3. Gas/Electric Hybrids – This has been the future of automobiles for years. Toyota and Honda know this, but it was just this year that U.S. automakers got their act together and started producing hybrid vehicles. Soon all cars will be hybrids, then electric, then gas will be dead forever!
4. Cylinder Cut-Off systems – This is by far my favorite new wave in the car industry. Cylinder Deactivation essentially turns a V-8 engine into a 4-cylinder by cutting fuel to half of the cylinder banks. This is a great way for big V-8 trucks and SUV’s to get reasonable gas mileage.
5. Paddle Shifters – We go from my favorite invention to my least favorite. In fact I hate the idea of paddle shifters on everyday cars. I feel they should be reserved for million dollar Ferrari’s that need millisecond shifts. Now cars as lowly as the Mitsubishi Lancer will get high tech paddle shifters. This marks the beginning of the end for clutch operated, hand shifted cars. I shed a tear.
6. Rear view Cameras – This option grew out of necessity. Supercars like the McLaren F1 which has the tiniest of rear windows relied on a camera to see what’s behind. Then big trucks and SUV’s like the Infiniti FX have caught onto the trend. Now many luxury cars offer this system. It makes reversing much safer and will definitely help in the area of parking.
7. Turbochargers and Smaller Engines – Again auto manufacturers like Volkswagen have used turbocharged 4-cylinder engines to produce as much horsepower as a V-8 while getting incredible gas mileage. I have always been a big fan of turbos’, which used the wasted exhaust gasses to power up.
8. Small Cars/Spacious Interiors – Again it is the Japanese sub-compact industry that sparked the rise of these cars in America. Hatchbacks have been around for years, and the folding rear seats allow for a ton of cubic space in a hatchback style car.
9. Capless Fuel Systems – Gas can evaporate! Yup this is news to me but very true. Ford is on the leading edge with their GT Supercar which features a capless fuel system. This internal sealing feature will be a trend we see on new cars in the future.
10. Information Systems – The Ford Sync provides real time traffic reports, an On-Star like feature that alerts authorities in the event of an accident, and a vehicle diagnostic system.

With these new features appearing on more new cars, the race is on for car manufacturers to provide the consumers with the newest technology.
