Ford Finally Makes a Hybrid Worth Buying

Ford Fusion Hybrid CarEver since the Taurus took a nose dive a few years ago, Ford has been looking for a suitable replacement to challenge the Accord and Camry in the mid-sized car segment.  Since its first introduction in 2006, Ford has made many modifications to the Fusion including the new Hybrid power plant that the public have really been taking notice to.  In comparison to its competitors; the Ford Fusion Hybrid gets some of the best in-town gas mileage.  You can expect to get great fuel economy in city driving, around 41 MPG, which is much better than the Toyota Camry hybrid and a little better than the Civic Hybrid.  The hybrid electric motor has the ability to power the Fusion up past 45 miles per hour without the help of the gas engine. Ford SVT Creates a Monster Truck!

2010 Ford F-150 Raptor Off-Road TruckFord’s Special Vehicles Team (SVT) which has produced some crazy cars like the Cobra and Lightning are going outside their comfort zone to create the greatest off-road truck ever offered by a car manufacturer.  The F-150 Raptor is a high-performance off-road truck that Ford hopes will sell like umbrellas on a rainy day.

This beast is powered by a V-8 engine that spews out 400 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque;  which is necessary when climbing incredibly steep hills or blasting down a dirt road at impressive speeds.  Fuel economy and emissions are actually a bit better in this 2010 F-150 than previous years due to Ford’s open valve technology.
