Most of the laws we have on the books make a lot of sense. The speed limit is there for a reason and we all know to obey traffic signals. However, there are a few laws out there that are strange to say the least. Let’s take a look at the strangest traffic laws.

If you are in Maryland don’t use curse words when driving. So you get cut off and almost get into a car accident; you still don’t want to utter a foul word because you can get in trouble and receive a fine if anyone hears you.

If you are in Minnesota and happen to be driving a truck you will want to leave a clean trail behind you. You can get fined if your wheels leave a bunch of mud and dirt on the streets.

When in South Africa, make sure to always yield to herders who wish to cross the road with their animals. You can receive a severe penalty for refusing to yield.

It looks like there are quite some strange laws on the books. Some may be archaic and outdated while some are quite bizarre. It’s nice to be aware of them just in case you happen to drive through these cities or countries at some point.
