Dodge New Cars – a Blast from the Past

Someone is feeling nostalgic over at the Dodge design camp. A few years ago they started resurrecting popular Dodge models from the 1970′s, specifically the Challenger and Charger. They did a great job on these models incorporating similar styling and the same muscle car appeal as their predecessors over four decades ago. Not surprisingly, the newest offering from Dodge will be another remake, the Dodge Dart. I remember this vehicle from my childhood. It was sort of a “mom car” or a hand-me-down car for college kids. In other words it was not at all cool to own a Dart but it was compact and dependable.

The new 2013 Dodge Dart is expected to be unleashed within the next few months and frankly it looks nothing like the original. Perhaps this is a good thing, why carry over the original blasé design when everyone expects a new car to look, well, new. The New Dodge Dart will be a compact just like the original but that’s about the only resemblance. A new sporty look, supped up performance and some nifty technology are combined in the new 2013 Dodge Dart. In other words this ain’t your momma’s Dart. I guess the Dodge designers didn’t really want to bring back the old Dart of yesteryear but rather pay homage to the cars that only us old folks remember and that’s ok with me.
