In addition, our cities are getting overpopulated and the government does not have enough money to build new roads. Americans actually spend billions of years stuck in traffic annually! Can you believe that?! Luckily, there are a few guidelines you can follow that will make rush hour a little bit more bearable.

First remember to calm down when you’re behind the wheel. No one wants to arrive late to work but that’s no reason to start driving aggressively or tail gating the car in front of you. Tampa Bay Ford Dealer Bartow carries used cars such as Lakeland used cars and Used Ford F-150 Lakeland and Used Ford F150 Florida.

Another tip is to leave around 15 minutes earlier than you usually leave. The roads are unpredictable and you never know if there’s a lost minute road block, detour or accident. Even a minor accident can back up the street for many miles. Richmond Infiniti specializes in Used Jaguar Bay Area.

Definitely check out online sites like Traffic.com or Sigalert if you can. This way you can tell which areas are the most congested and which roads to avoid for certain.

If you reside in an area that has an excellent public transportation system you can consider taking the bus, metro, subway or Metrolink. In some cities its faster if you take the bus while in other cities it can actually take longer. GMC Dealers Orange County has a large selection of trucks and cars.

Ask your co-workers and friends if they know of any good shortcuts. Locals usually know of a few good ones where you can exit and then get back on the freeway at a later point.

When it comes to affordable compact SUV’s, there is no other vehicle which offers the amenities that the 2010 GMC Terrain does at such an affordable price. Looks wise, the Terrain resembles a truck, especially because of its bold and square front and distinct grille. It is available in four separate trims; the SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1 and upper level SLT2.

The engine that powers this SUV is a 2.4 Ltr engine with four cylinders and a total output of 182 hp. For additional power, it is possible to get the six cylinder option with 264 hp. In terms of gas mileage, the four cylinder gets 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the freeway. The V6 version offers better acceleration buts its gas mileage is not as good as the four cylinder version. It is best to keep the standard wheels as the ride quality has been reported to not be as smooth with the optional bigger wheels.

The interior is well crafted with comfortable seating in the front and rear. The soft red interior ambient lighting is a nice touch, especially at night. One feature found in the Terrain that is uncommon for vehicles in its class is the rearview camera, usually found on much more expensive vehicles. The cabin also stands out for being very quiet and well insulated, even at high speeds.

Standard features include a USB interface, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, XM satellite radio and keyless entry. Cargo space is at 31.6 cubic feet and can be further expanded to 63.9 feet once you put the back seats down. The SLE-2 trim adds in temperature controlled seats, an advanced navigation system with turn by turn directions, power sunroof and a DVD player in the back to keep your passengers entertained.

A large variety of safety systems are in place in the 2010 Terrain. This includes airbags, an ABS brake system, and traction control. The seatbelts feature pretensioners which work to tighten up the belt in case of an accident. A security system prevents the car from starting if someone attempts to start the vehicle with an unauthorized key. The IIHS awarded the Terrain good scores for front, side and rear impact tests plus named it a top pick in regards to safety.

If you are in the market for an affordable compact SUV that does not skimp on amenities, the 2010 Terrain from GMC would be an excellent choice. In addition, the Terrain is great on gas which equals financial savings in the long run. With all of these pluses on its side, the 2010 Terrain definitely stands out in its class. The base cost for the 2010 Terrain is approximately in the $24k range.

GMC is targeting the mid-sized SUV market with the Terrain and at the same time they are trying to get a piece of the pie that Honda and Toyota have long since ruled! The bold exterior of the Terrain is all GMC styling and the Crossover SUV is chalked full of cool features and technology. And of course GMC is sticking to the fuel economy wars offering a 4-cylinder engine that will net you 30 MPG on the highway. All in all the Terrain offers just about everything you would want in a mid-sized SUV.

The exterior of the 2010 GMC Terrain is very bold and truck like. The goal was to create a new look for GMC. The Terrain offers some Buff lines with a huge chrome front grill. But this grill is not just for looks alone, the surface area is so large as to provide proper cooling for the Terrain. The tires are also tucked behind the fenders as to reduce drag and increase fuel efficientcy. There are available 19-inch chrome rims that are a must on this ride.

The interior is clean and modern. The center stack is unique and is definitely the center piece of the interior. The leather heated seats are ultra comfortable and the car is very ergonomic. There is plenty of functional storage room and lots of cool ambient lighting. The backseat is roomy and cubic feet storage space is right in the middle for the class.

Base powertrain is a 2.4 liter 4-clyinder direct-injected engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that will get 30 MPG on the highway and 22 in the city which will set the Terrian at the top of the heap for in class fuel economy. Front wheel drive is also standard on the Terrain. If you opt for the V-6 engine you will get 3 liters of direct fuel injected goodness producing 260 hp and 222 lb-ft of torque. Gas mileage for the V-6 is 17/24 city/highway. All wheel drive is available on both engine choices but your fuel economy will suffer.

Features and technology is where the Terrain really shines. Besides the USB, MP3, touch navigation, rear view camera, 40 GB hard drive, XM Radio, OnStar, and rear DVD entertainment; ever new Terrain comes with GM’s 100k mile/5-year warranty which covers the entire drivetrain!

Cost starts at just over $24k and the Terrain has a five-star crash safety rating from the IIHS!

GMC showcased one of their top two-mode hybrid concept cars at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, the Denali XT Hybrid concept truck. The Denali XT Hybrid is the latest feature of Professional Grade engineering and offers a 50% increase in fuel economy. It is combined with 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline capability and a more efficient 4.9L engine with 326horsepower. It also has Active Fuel Management powers and features fuel saving technology like direct injection. The engine matches the exclusive two mode propulsion hybrid system which includes an all electric drive at slow speeds. The multi-link face suspension exhibits forward mounted steering and dual lower links with ball joints. This feature in the XT provides sharper responses to the driver’s input.

The XT is rear wheel drive but is still categorized into the Sport Utility Truck [SUT] group. It overlaps the defining lines between the pickup and the SUV but is lighter in weight than the traditional conservative truck. To bring the Denali XT a confident road presence, this high-tech hybrid has nominal overhangs, outsized wheels, lustrous headlamps, and a low roof profile. The interior of the car is leather trimmed with metal backdrops, seats four, has large cargo bed space, and embodies the inside of an aircraft cockpit.
